It might be interesting to watch the karmic effect of sacking your builder. If you do pop a cap in his metaphorical ass, he may file for bankruptcy and the other jobs he’s working on could be left high and dry. With luck (and a healthy dose of Chaos theory) one of the people affected will be the traffic warden who gave you that ticket and he’ll have to wear his uniform to keep warm while he waits for a new builder to finish his extension.
I know this is all a bit of a long shot, but if it did pan out, it might make you feel a little better.
