Birthday – UK number 1

I know these things do the rounds, but this past by me and I had to remind myself.

What was #1 in the UK charts on the day you were born?

Well it seems that both Victoria and I must have comedy or novelty lives – because Grandad by Clive Dunn was #1 for me, and Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep was #1 for Victoria.

  1. Wow, mine was actually a song I do like, though I initially heard it as a cover version: Tommy James & The Shondells – Mony Mony. The Stranglers did a good one, and of course Billy Idol.

Nice pointer! Now you just need a backwards search to find out someone’s birthday (range) from the song…

  2. Arses! I don’t bloody believe mine: Cliff Richard – Congratulations

Was he singing it to my mother I wonder?!
