He fed his pets on powdered milk,

The day arrived, the places drawn,

\nIt was a sin to puncture Jim
\nand Lee was broken hearted.
\nBut that five pound note it must be won,
\nhe’d promised to his daughter
\nAnd so the dirty deed was done
\nAnd Jim thrown in the water.<\/p>\n

Some caught perch, some caught bream,
\nsome caught rainbow trout.
\nSome caught eels, one caught seals,
\nmost of them caught nowt.
\nBut Len he waited patiently
\nto get a chance to work
\nWhen all at once his float did sink
\nand gave his rod a jerk.<\/p>\n

Well that fight went on for hours and hours
\nLen couldn’t quench his thirst
\nBut Big Jim being the worm he was,
\nthat fish surrendered first.
\nAt once the judge came running up
\nand with him brought his scales,
\nHe saw the fish, said, Throw it back –
