The Canadian Geese have been slowly returning to North Harbour over the last few weeks. I find it interesting to watch them wander around the grounds in groups of two… they pair for life… are they happy? Who knows they always looks the same!

Ok, just got back into work after a weekend in Butlins – Bognor Regis. The reason we went to Butlins was because Victoria wanted to take the kids away for a weekend of Bob the Builder fun which is something that Butlins offers. The reason for Bognor Regis was because it is just 30 minutes down the road from IBM which meant I could drive there on Friday after work and then back here Monday without needing to take any costly leave.

As I pulled onto IBM’s grounds this morning, the field where the Herons usually hang out in the morning had a tiding of magpies…
Now we know that…

One for sorrow, two for joy
Three for a girl, four for a boy
Five for silver, six for gold
Seven for a secret never to be told.
Eight for a wish, nine for a kiss.
And ten for a big fat chicken.

But what is the rhyme for over thirty?

I went to London on Saturday morning to take Photos. I blame Ferg, it was all his idea! Anyway I got up a 3am; I was meant to get up at 3:30am but woke up at 3am and had no chance of getting back to sleep. I drove to Ferg’s for 4:30 and then he drove on to Royal Victoria Docks (Excel London) for sunrise – 6:59am. I think we were there about 6:45am

The sunrise was dissapointing mainly because of conditions and location, Victoria docks is not as good a location as it appeared to have been. However the light was good for taking photos. We then spent the rest of the day taking photos around Canary Wharf and Bank.
