I just, to my shame, bought the Sunday Mail in order to get the latest Prince album Planet Earth. And, well, er, it’s Prince. I don’t mind the album, it sounds ok when it’s playing in the background, but I just can’t see myself wanting to put it on. All the songs sound like something I’ve heard before. This is the same as the last album 3121. Prince just doesn’t seem to be going anywhere. He needs to freshen up. He needs some new influences. He needs a sign o’ the times. He just doesn’t seem to get it like Madonna does.
